Lawn Care and Maintenance

A healthy, thick, lush green lawn requires good lawn management which includes proper mowing practices, appropriate watering schedules, fertilization and core aeration.

Mowing heights for Colorado species should be set at 2.5 to 3 inches with the lawn being mowed weekly to ensure that no more than 1/3 of the leaf blade is removed at a time to keep the plant healthy and stress free. Keeping your lawn mowed at the optimum height will discourage thatch buildup and disease.

Mulched grass clippings which are 85-95% water should be left on the lawn to decompose. These clippings decompose quickly and return beneficial nitrogen and other nutrients to the lawn in a slow release form.  This practice also encourages earthworms and microorganisms that help to breakdown lawn thatch.  Grass clippings do not contribute to thatch build up!

We maintain our equipment by cleaning and sharpening blades daily to ensure an efficient and clean cut of your lawn.  Our mowing practices also include alternating mowing patterns to reduce soil compaction.

Our goal is to make your lawn the best in the neighborhood!
